The art book Islands is an exceptional example of the symbiosis between visual art and the written word, creating a unique artistic experience. The graphics in Islands are minimalist, yet rich in detail and emotional states, creating a meditative atmosphere. As Prof. Georgi Fotev notes, there is no dominance of one language over the other here – neither do the images illustrate the text, nor does the text interpret the images.
