Exhibition of digital graphics by LILIANA DVORYANOVA, „Red House”, as part of the „BROD” Project
The exhibition “De-fine” by Lilyana Dvoryanova includes a series of photo collages reflecting the author’s visual reflections on the relationship between “name” and “image”.
The artworks pose questions. To what extent do the words overlaid on the images alter the perception and understanding of the image? Does the name focus the image, pointing to the image? Does the name merely repeat the image or does it offer something more, opening another space? Does the name tell, define, limit? Is this the name? At the heart of the question is the biblical scene in which Adam gives names to things.
